Cherish yourself and celebrate because you're one of a kind! —Lu Lu
Robert Barber, MSW, is a child and adolescent therapist who loves art museums and dogs and could probably eat pizza every day. His honors include Magna Cum Laude; Winner of 5 Gold Key Awards and 8 Honorable Mentions in the National Scholastic Art Awards; Artwork exhibited in Austin, Chicago, New York, Phoenix and Wichita; and Poster and program artwork for fairy tale story ballets in Evansville, Little Rock and Savannah. Notable art mentors include Jim Gross, Betty Dickerson and Earl Linderman.
I have always loved children’s picture books and wanted to combine both my backgrounds in art and psychology to help children, parents and caregivers. Lu Lu, the Blue Flamingo (Second Edition) is the first in a series based on fun and quirky characters that tackle and resolve life challenges common to all of us, themes that spring from childhood development and often continue into adulthood. With that in mind, nurture and love the “Lu Lu” inside of you that is unique and special. Enjoy!
